Over the past two years, the game of polo has increased dramatically in the UAE  and has made its presence felt. The Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club has launched the Ghantoot team onto the international polo arena, participating in events around the world.

The Club has also seen a huge development plan which will be continuing for the next few years. This year the Clubhouse has three boutique shops, and also houses a library with a wide selection of Polo books and magazines. The restaurant offers an international menu and can cater up to six hundred guests. It is open from 11:00 am through 12:00 midnight. Three tennis courts located near the Grandstand are now complete.

Around the Club four new grass polo fields have been built for teaching, stick and ball and tournaments. Two of the Polo fields are floodlit and there are approximately two hundred polo ponies for all levels of polo experience. Top resident international polo players offer some of the best polo instruction and encourage children to take up riding. More and more people want to participate in the sport and they should not be afraid to do so, even if they have no previous experience.
 
Extensive landscaping is currently under construction around the clubhouse to create an oasis for members and guests to spend time out from the city. Future plans are extremely ambitious with an eighteen hole golf course, chalets, further landscaping and health club.

A 9-furlong left-handed fibre-turf grass track with a 2-furlong stretch run.  It includes a 5-furlong straight and 2 chutes for both 8- and 10-furlong races
