“Dh40,000 will be distributed among the highest forecasts in the pick six competition with the top forecast earning up to Dh10,000,” he said.

Meanwhile, Al Halawani pointed out that the sponsors have provided Dh600,000 for the winners in the six races, including the Dh350,000 provided by Shadwell for the featured race of the afternoon, Jebel Ali Mile, in addition to Dh7,000 for the best turned horses in the six races.

“Moreover, we will have also a lucky winner who will drive away with a lovely 2004 model Nissan Sunny against a nominal fees of Dh10 for each coupon and there is no limit for the number of coupons to be purchased by each participant in the big raffle by the end of the race,” he said.

Al Halawani reassured all the spectators that all the arrangements are well in place, including the transportation from the car parking to the Grand Stand, first aid services and first class food and beverages outlets.

“The organisers, the management and the staff at the Yellow racecourse will be available since 11 am to welcome the guests and the first of the six races will kick off by 2.30pm,” he concluded.

The first race will be sponsored by Al Shafar Group, the second by GEMS, Shadwell Farm will take care of Jebel Ali Mile third race of the afternoon, Al Shafar Investment will support the fourth race, ASCANA will look after the fifth race and Romeo Design will sponsor the sixth race while Al Shafar Group of Companies will present the best turned out horse trophy for each race.
