The Dubai International Endurance City being built by the Emirates International Endurance Racing under the patronage of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Minister of Defence, has to be seen to be believed.

With perseverance Dubai International Endurance City and backed by a pursuit for perfection, the 'endurance village' is now giving way to a 'city' and come January 27. For the endurance racing world, this transformation is enough reason to be joyful about the venue and facilities offered here.

With just under eight weeks left before the January 27 World Championship, the scene at the Seih Assalam desert area is a breathtaking spectacle.

One of the well-planned central facilities which is to house the all-important veterinary gate along with the start and finish lines nearby, the Dubai International Endurance City has already started earning accolades.

Work is on in full swing as the final touches are being applied, but a tour of the facilities shows it is probably the best in the world.

Mohammad Rashid Bin Ghadayer, President of the Endurance City, said the new venue was the brainchild of Shaikh Mohammad.

It has been just a decade since the United Arab Emirates embraced long distance riding in an organised form.
