DUBAI WORLD CUP CONTENDERS UPDATE
The following horses will be in action in the US$6,000,000 Dubai World Cup (Gr.I), sponsored by Emirates Airline on Saturday. March27th : Admire Don, trained Hiroyoshi Matsuda, Fleetstreet Dancer from the USA, along with fellow Americans Pleasantly Perfect and Medaglia d'Oro.
Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Cajun Beat has accepted an invitation to run in the US$2,000,000 Dubai Golden Shaheen (Gr.I) where he is likely to face top Australian sprinter Exceed and Excel, trained by Tim Martin.
France will be fielding a strong team which includes the Elie Lellouche-trained Bright Sky, who was fourth in the Hong Kong Cup (Gr.I) on her recent run and aiming for the Dubai Duty Free (GR.I). Marcel Rolland's Prix Ganay (Gr.I) winner Fairmix is already in Dubai and will run in the US$2,000,000 Dubai Sheema Classic (Gr.I), sponsored by The Palm, and run on the turf course over 2,400 metres.

Tickets are on sale, via Dubai Racing Club (+971 4 3322277) or www.dubaiworldcup.com, for the Millennium Terrace, which encompasses the entire Level 2 area of the Millennium Grandstand and will feature reserved grandstand seats, licensed beverage outlets for cash sales and casual dining areas on the open concourse overlooking the track.
The package is fully inclusive of a reserved seat, soft drinks and dinner served on the terrace during racing by the appointed caterer, Jumeirah International and is priced at AED 600 per person.
BREAKFAST WITH THE STARS
The Dubai World Cup will host "Breakfast with the Stars" during morning trackwork at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse on Thursday 25th March from 7.00am onwards. Featuring live commentary, celebrity interviews with top guests and horse connections in addition to a lavish breakfast buffet served on the lawns. Tickets can be purchased in advance at AED 50 per person or on the morning of March 25th.
GET DRESSED UP FOR THE DUBAI WORLD CUP
Al Maha and Saks Fifth Avenue Fashions on the Field is one of the social highlights of the Dubai World Cup racemeeting at Nad Al Sheba on Saturday, March 27th.
A panel of celebrity judges will be voting for the Best Dressed Lady, who will win three nights accommodation in the Royal Suite at Al Maha Desert Resort, the luxurious suite accommodates four people and the prize includes all meals from Al Maha's award winning kitchen as well as on-site activities. Saks Fifth Avenue recognises the best dressed lady with an original Louis Feraud hat.
The runner-up will receive two nights accommodation at Al Maha Desert Resort in the Bedouin Suite, Saks Fifth Avenue will present a US$1,000 Gift Certificate for their store in Dubai.
The winner of the milliners' award for best hat will receive a three night stay in the Bedouin Suite at Al Maha Desert Resort and an original Alberta Ferretti hat from Saks Fifth Avenue |
